Adult Outpatient Programs

University Behavioral Health's intensive outpatient programs are for adults who do not require 24 hour supervision provided by an inpatient program, but require intensive intervention not provided in traditional outpatient settings. Most patients are admitted for treatment of depression, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, chronic suicidal ideation, co-occurring disorders (psychiatric and substance abuse disorders), personality disorders and family/interpersonal conflicts.

Partial Hospitalization Program
The Partial Hospital Program is the most intensive level of outpatient clinical care for patients. Patients generally participate daily from 8:30am to 2:30pm, Patients are in treatment for four hours per day up to five days per week and become eligible for this level of care when their day-to-day stability is threatened by severe psychiatric and substance abuse problems. Partial hospitalization helps patients safely manage their psychiatric and substance abuse problems on an outpatient basis. The program helps reduce and resolve acute psychiatric symptoms and Chemical Dependency Issues.

Intensive Outpatient Program
Designed for patients ages 18 and older, this full outpatient assessment and treatment program is for the patient who has achieved some stability but continues to need more intensive treatment than traditional outpatient therapy. Participants attend the program less than four hours a day and typically less than five days per week. The structured group therapy and case management program is for patients who are still struggling with psychiatric symptoms or co-occurring disorders and may be at risk for relapse.

Evening Chemical Dependency IOP Program
Monday, Wednesday, Friday 6:30 to 9:00pm.

Discharge Planning
Discharge Planning is initiated upon admission and is in place at discharge. Through ongoing communication with the referring professional, the patient and family experiences a smooth transition to community-based services or residential programs.
